FLASH BACK FORWARD, Psycho Sociology

From my early childhood play days in Fairfax, Virginia, I found myself absorbing and observing my immediate surroundings, people, books, and nature. My thirst to figure out exactly where I stood left me slaking. With honors I graduated from Fairfax High School and University of Arizona with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Spanish; on top of that, I earned teaching certificates in two states and certification to teach teachers and community.

Still, I had yet to tap into my well of inner knowledge and learn more about my heart and Gypsy / Rromani heritage. Seven years ago, ~2009, I stepped away from the institutions of education to explore an organic artistic life approach, developing and documenting implementation of M.l. ART (Achieving Real Tolerance with Multiple layers:) toolbox (tarot, totem, testament, wildcards).
This column sample could always be refined, hashed over, thought out more thoroughly next to more data and relevant peer/public review. While the impetus to write all of this down might imply to some that I am indelibly committed to the content, rest assured that my words here are simply a representation of a certain stage of my thought process. Repeatedly, within institutions or out in nature, I have seen with folk of all ages the benefits of sharing an honest, relevant personal story, haven't u?

Because I am still learning, “Please be patient, God isn’t finished with me yet”. Be gentle with your critique and hold on light and loose to what you do decide to gather. Gypsy Myth Debunked graphic blog (KUNTARI KOLUM) is subject to change as time marches on and we all are exposed to more information. Know that given time and space, copy ready editions will arrive, amending any blatant fuck-ups and/or misrepresentations. Thank you for appreciating this initial draft for what it is: rough and untried, and feel free to provide feedback.
In addition to the fact that this work is not perfect, I do want mention that I want to bring Gypsy back, in a good way. Gypsy’s fight is to be seen in a positive light so why not?! Instead of saying “That’s so cool!” or “Righteous!” why not “That’s so Gypsy!” or “Gypsy!!!”. From here on out in this writing, I want to be clear that I consciously utilize Gypsy with capital G when coming from my own perspective.

Killing a word is as stupid as killing a person; in either case, what the fuck is the point and who are we to do it? Look, don't worry, it's quite predictable: wicked is just really sad-turned-mad, a bloody red flag crying for help. I resemble and am sensitive to sad-turned-madwicked behavior that hurts people. Often people’s sad-turned-mad behavior comes out in words and so sad-mad-wicked is the behavior that it's sad-mad-wicked gets transferred to the word, psychic erasure of the fact that its people who act sad-mad-wicked, not words. Words just sit there, frankly, letting you absorb them however you want in your own due time.

I hesitate to admit because the notion seems strange to me, but I do have an intellectual hat of sorts, so be forewarned also that I also might slip out of Gypsy and into academic vernacular at moments, using Rromani, or variations of, such as Rroma, and Rrom. And, I might use my Finnish Gypsy family’s vernacular every now and again, Mustalainen, which means the color black in Finnish They most often use Gypsy when speaking in English in reference to the local Rroma community.

Dreaming of creating a random social movement seems like good fun to me. But here’s even more. When I worked for the U.S. Census 2010, I befriended a co-worker who had incidentally helped a legal team representing an American Rromani family win a court case in the mid 1980s. The ruling  allowed psychic advisers the right to practice in the state of California. Psychic Advisers seem to be on every other street corner in California now as a result.

At first, I wanted to put on my master teacher mentor and investigative journalist and graphic artist hats to expose the details of the phenomenon in a dignified, fun and easy way. I hoped to uncover a legitimate and healthy support system for many, examining with an open mind and provocative questions.
What I realized, however, through the span of time that I have been working on this project is that I prefer to maintain a psychic study and practice as part of my folk art for life :) welcome, visit often and soon Gypsy Snake Salon website (: Furthermore, I collaborate with community, interact, engage in the conversation, I talk to Rrom and others, one person at a time or in groups, about how best to honor universal balance KINTALA live dream space time um
P.S. I found this buried in a pile from only god knows how long ago and edited once, ten more to go maybe 11
